Jason K Purdy

Jason Kelly Purdy, 49 of Windham, Ohio passed away Sunday October 11, 2021. Jason was born August 1, 1972. He was the owner/operator of Triple Diamond Excavation LLC. He was a graduate of Jackson Milton High School where he wrestled, played football, and attended Youngstown State University.  Jason was very proud of his many wins in the Tough Man Contest. Jason is survived by his mother Carolyn Purdy Hostetler, brother Josh (Michele) Purdy, Sister Alicia Bartek, his beloved nephew and niece, Max and Myah Purdy, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that love him dearly. He was proceeded in death by his father Russell Bennett, his grandparents James (Pop) and Catherine Purdy and Rosa Bennett. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Jay, knew of his huge presence. Not just his larger-than-life personality, hot temper, or his big infectious smile but of his huge heart.  He loved his family fiercely, both blood-related and those he created from many great friendships. He was a gifted man, from his talent of operating machinery, incredible whistling ability, impeccable pants-splitting dance moves, to his wonderful ability to connect with kids, but his greatest gift was seeing value and worth in everyone. He was a rock, a shoulder to cry on and had the ability to make you smile no matter what.  His absence will be strongly felt by everyone who loved him, especially his ever-present and faithful side-kick Mitch. Fly high Jay Bird, for you are so loved and will be truly missed. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in the Windham Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Thursday October 14, 2021 at 5 pm at the Windham Community Center.
