Kenna "Gene" Crislip

Kenna Eugene "Gene" Crislip 78 of Ravenna, passed away Saturday October 6, 2018 at his home.  He was born February 3, 1940 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late  David and Dovie (Golden) Crislip.  Gene has lived in Ravenna for the past 50 years and was a retired machinist from St. GoBain.  He was  avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.  He also like to do bodywork on cars and enjoyed racing cars.  Gene was a veteran of the US Marines.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 2000 and his daughter Kim Carson in 2008.  He is survived by his children Kurt Crislip, Neil (Kelly) Crislip, Michael Crislip, Carrie (Keith) Fife, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and siblings Wanda Clevenger, Linda Crislip and Allen Crislip.  Calling hours will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday October 12, 2018 at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio .   The family ask  that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to UH Hospice .  Condolences and memories of Gene may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
