Kenneth R. Dean 92 of Streetsboro died Saturday, March 3, 2018. He was born on December 4, 1925 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to George and Lillian (Sparks) Dean. Kenneth was a US Army veteran of WWII and spent 5 months in a German prison camp. In addition, he worked as a brakeman and engineer for the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad and was an ordained minister with the Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 71 years Glenna (Holbrook), children Brenda (Ronald) Welsh, Donald R. (Patricia) Dean and Daniel (Kathleen) Dean, grandchildren Daniel, Scott (Michelle), and Jeffrey and a great grandson Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Brad Edder officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg.
