Larry D. "Moose" Walker, age 83 of Shalersville, passed away on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Being a lifelong Shalersville resident, he was born on August 14, 1938 to the late William C. and Florence (Corbett) Walker. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1957. Moose was a retired plumber working for Kline and Kavali in Kent, Ohio for 40 years, and cherished working with Todd, Scott, and Troy. He belonged to the Local 219 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. Larry was a former member of the Crossroads Community Church in Shalersville and his greatest hobby was restoring old, rusty tractors. He was an incredible story teller with a unique vocabulary, and he never failed to make people laugh with his quick wit. Larry loved going to his granddaughters sports games and was their biggest fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Norma McCune and David Walker. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Donna (Burt) Walker whom he married February 17, 1962; his children, Terry (Chris) Walker, Marla Walker, and Steven (Jamie) Walker; his grandchildren, Emily, Stefanie, Chloe, Vanessa, Tia, and Christopher; five great grandchildren, Robbie, Ryan, Riley, Blake, and Evie; and three siblings, Lola Timms, Judy (Ken) Nester, and Bill Walker. The family would like to give special thanks to Suma Hospice staff for their wonderful care and love for Larry.
