Lavern F. "Bob" Ferrell 90 of Ravenna passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1929 in Ravenna, Ohio to Clayton F. and Louella (Schrader) Ferrell. A lifelong Ravenna resident, Bob was a machine operator for AC Williams and Container Corporation. Survivors include his children Linda A. (“Bim”) Ramsey, Suzan M. (William) Barbey, George W. (Carol) Ferrell and Cindy L. (Joe) Kaltenbach, stepchildren Gloria (Tom) Archer, Eugene Barnette, Hansford (Patti) Barnette, Darrell (Sue) Barnette and Wesley Williamson, grandchildren Michelle (“Poochie”) Ramsey, Michael (Megan) Ramsey, Connie (Rob) Ault, Jason Ferrell, Jennifer (Dan) Kennedy, Nicole Kaltenbach and Neil (Kristine) Kaltenbach, great grandchildren J.J., Josh, Lillian, Dylan, Brayden, Tristan, Jordan and Michael and a sister Rosa Lee Riffle. nieces Julie (Jason) Kalbaugh, Tina Cummons. nephew Danny Cummons. great nephew Jason jr. great niece Summer and great great niece Paisley. He was preceded in death by his parents, loving mother of his children and spouse Winona Margaret Ferrell, spouse Emma Ferrell, sister Ann Cummons, twin sister Charlotte Bednar, granddaughter Lynda Hershey and beloved dogs Bear and Puder. He enjoyed wrestling, western movies and playing cards. Where ever he may be during the day he had a hot cup of coffee in his hand. He was always ready to enjoy a bowl of chili with a home grown hot pepper on the side. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff whom took extraordinary great care of him for the last four years at Woodlands Nursing Facility. Private burial has taken place at Grandview Memorial Park. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
