Lottie Wright Obituary

Lottie Mae (Jackson) Wright, 86, passed away peacefully and quietly  into the loving arms of God on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Christiana  Hospital, in Delaware, following a lengthy illness.                                                                                   

Lottie was born on January 5, 1935 to the union of Thomas and Willie (Moorehead) Jackson, in Grenada, Mississippi. At age 12 she moved to Ravenna, Ohio, where she attended school and graduated from Ravenna High School.  She was employed at the Oak Rubber Co. in Ravenna, Ohio, and later at the Lordstown Motors Corporation in Lordstown, Ohio where she retired. After  retiring, she took great pleasure in volunteering to help at the Vernon L. Mathews Community Center where she enjoyed helping and interacting with the neighborhood children.                                                                                                                               

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Willie (Moorhead) Jackson, her sons, Miles and Malcom Wright, and three brothers and seven  sisters.                                                        

Precious memories will be cherished by her family; sons, Andrew T. Wright of Ravenna, Ohio, Avon Wright of  Washington D.C., Stephan and Valerie Wright of Smyrna, Delaware, Rayfield Wright of Johannesburg, South  Africa, Marcus and Falyn Wright, of Sacramento, California  and Jefferson Mallory of Warren, Ohio: four sisters, Laura (Isaac) McDaniel, Clara (Odell) Graham, Edith Dickson and Emma Mitchell: four brothers, Liddell  Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Willie Jackson and Samuel Jackson; grandchildren: Andrew T. Wright Jr. and Anson Wright, Jason and Devin Wright, Megan (Wright) Farley, Stephan Wright II, Sharon Temple, Jahee Wright, Isabella and Elizabeth Wright, Vuyisa (Mantocywa) Wright, Rachel Wright and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Calling hours will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM and Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral home located at 141 N.
