On Monday, August 10, 2020, Madaline S. Grubaugh left this earthly realm to enter eternity forever joining her beloved husband of 73 years. She was born July 22, 1928 in Richeyville, PA to John M. and Lyda(Sherman) Hammond. Survivors include her children Kenneth John Grubaugh, Brenda J. Ciganik, James Emerson Grubaugh, and Melvin Paul Grubaugh. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 15 great grand children all of which she proudly boasted about along with their accomplishments. Her heart of gold was filled with unconditional love for each one. For many years she worked tirelessly beside her husband, Dr. Mel Grubaugh Pastor of The First Baptist Church of Streetsboro. She enjoyed keeping the books, and working with the ladies, but most of all her most treasured moments were those spent working with the children. She was truly a courageous, strong, beautiful woman with a love for life and the things of the Lord. Those who were lucky enough to know her would have to agree that she had a certain glow and light around her that never ceased even on her worse days. She was always there for her family no matter what and made this world better place just because she was here. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her and she will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Mel Grubaugh, son Ronald Lee Grubaugh, and siblings Bessie Walter, Beatrice Durinsky and Clarence Hammond. Calling hours for family members and close friends will be held from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Reverend Murray Bay will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
