Margaret "Peggy" E. Hinkle 88 of Rootstown. Jesus took Peggy by the hand and took her home on February 10, 2021. She wants her loved ones to be happy for her and she will be waiting to see them. She was born July 31, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to John William and Rose (Meador) Furst. The family lived in Gallipolis, Ohio until 1941 and moved north where she attended Shalersville Schools. She worked at Enduro Rubber was a waitress at East Park and spent 22 years as a housekeeper in the Labor and Delivery Department at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Her supervisor was Chuck Miller and he made bad days good for his employees. Her friends there at the hospital were her support in her time of need. Peggy enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She had wonderful neighbors and enjoyed seeing them and saying "Hi". Peggy was a member of Grace Church (New Milford Baptist) in Rootstown and was blessed to have many church friends who were there to help her when she needed support. Survivors include her sons Michael Nagella and David Hinkle, stepsons Ed Hinkle and Ronnie Hinkle, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 30 years Charles B. Hinkle, son Marty Nagella, brother Bobby Furst, sister in law Eileen (Boston) Metcalf and stepson Fred Hinkle. Our mom will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be from 12 PM until time of funeral service at 1 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
