Marlene M (Prochaska) Ackley

Marlene M. Ackley, 65 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday December 30, 2020, after her long battle with various health issues.  On September 14, 1955, Marlene was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Marguerite (Noss) Prochaska and the late Bernard Prochaska.  Marlene has been a longtime Portage County resident and was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family.  Marlene enjoyed her years bowling and travelling, as well as making conversation with anyone who crossed her path. Her optimism and resilience never faded. Above all, she loved her family fiercely, especially her grandchildren. Marlene will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Roberts.  Survivors include her husband Albert "Chip" Ackley, Jr. whom she married June 1, 1991, her children Albert (Connie) Ackley III, Billy Ackley, David (Amy) Golubski, Amanda Ackley, Bryan (Cheryl) Golubski, Robyn (Brandon) Dixon, Lori (Troy) Damicone, 18 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her mother, and brothers James Roberts and Michael (Kristine) Prochaska.  At her request, cremation has taken place.  Memorial calling hours will be 4-7 PM Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Flowers and/or memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are equally welcome.
