Matthew Lee Moyers

Matthew Lee Moyers 39 of Ravenna passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born November 4, 1982 in Ravenna to James and Carol (Girtz) Moyers. Matt was a local car enthusiast who enjoyed working on his and his wife's racecars with his family and friends. He was an active administrator of the 3rd Gen F-Body Group of Ohio. His other hobbies included hunting, fishing, and riding his dirt bike. Matt has been a loyal employee of Klaben Ford-Lincoln, in Kent Ohio, for the past 6 years. He considered them his second family. All of his fellow employees called him "The Mayor" and "The Biggest Hands in Ravenna". Matt was a loving, loyal, compassionate, and doting husband and father to 3 children. He had a heart of gold and an enormous amount of family and friends, who he would do anything for. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of being in his life. Survivors include his wife of seven years Della (Gingerich), children Lillian, Alexander and Chloe, father James Moyers, mother Carol S. Moyers, grandparents Carol J. Moyers and Ellis "Doc" Moyers, sister Jennifer (Justin) Bass and in laws Ronald and Linda Gingerich and Alice Keyes. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend Terry Baughman officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
