Melissa Lee (Rupert) Klinesmith

Melissa Lee (Rupert) Klinesmith passed away on October 9, 2023 following a brief illness. She was born August 30, 1960 in Ravenna, Ohio to Robert and Jo Ann (Franks) Rupert. After graduating from Ravenna High School, Melissa enrolled in technical school, with a focus on electrical systems.  She worked in various companies until deciding to pursue her dream and become a nurse. Melissa earned her LPN degree and found joy working in nursing homes with elderly patients. Her compassion and ability to connect with her patients was a source of happiness throughout her professional career.  Missy adored all things nature. Her favorite activity was to work in her yard and garden. She loved her country home and was excited to relay stories about all the wildlife she would see crossing her yard.  She had an innate talent for decorating. Her home was a display of unique combinations of family antiques and handmade decor that was uniquely her.  Melissa loved her family dearly. She will always be remembered as a beautiful person with a heart of gold.  Survivors include children: Justina (Drew) Zakrajsek, their children: Carter, Kendall, Stella and Kora; Derek (Kayla) Klinesmith and their children: Braxton, Lillian and Noelle; siblings: Deborah (David) Petrone, Bonney (Chris) Walther and David (Debbie) Rupert.  Calling hours will be October 23, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Streetsboro location of Shorts, Spicer, Crislip Funeral Home located at 9781 Page Rd, Streetsboro, OH 44241 where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday October 24, 2023 with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Melissa may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com
