Michael B. Dennis, 37, of Diamond, OH passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 13, 2021. He was born October 16, 1983 in Pittsburgh, PA to Lance Bradford and Patricia (Skutski) Dennis. Mike was a US Navy veteran from 2002 - 2007 who served proudly on the USS Hampton. After his Navy service, Mike was an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration until his death. Survivors include his wife Andrea (Lorenz), father Lance (Sue) Dennis, grandmother Lillian Skutski, sister Kristy (Andy) Novak, step-sisters LeighAnn and Kristen, dogs Penny, Otto, and Greta, and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Dennis and dogs Eli, Boris, Bismarck, and Molly. Mike was a big-hearted man who was loved dearly by so many. His passion for dogs, fireworks, firearms, fires, ranch dressing, and most other things that involve loud noises, bright lights, and strong flavors was known to all. Everything Mike did was done with full heart and the most genuine of spirits. The bereaved ask that you remember Mike fondly the next time you enjoy a good cheesesteak, movie about submarines, or heartwarming online dog rescue story. Perhaps (legally) set off a flare or smoke grenade in his honor. Burial with military honors will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 23, with limited capacity. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Condolences and memories of Michael may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
