Michael D Pekarek

Michael D. Pekarek, 70 of Mansfield, passed away Thursday July 20, 2023 at the Ohio Health Med Center in Mansfield. On August 28, 1952, Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Rudolph S. and Frances (Oelbracht) Pekarek. Living in Mansfield the past 10 years, Michael was formerly of Cleveland and had worked as an auto mechanic his whole life. Survivors include his children Lisa Morehouse, Stephen M. (Janelle) Pekarek, and James Wagner. His grandchildren Corey, Jacob, Dominique (Morehouse), Nathan, Trevor, Xander (Pekarek), his siblings Dale Sopjack, Marianne Webb and Trudy Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Morehouse and siblings Johnnie Pekarek and Cindy Bassett. In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
