Phyllis Jean Sexton, 84 of Streetsboro passed away Friday June 12, 2020 at the Altercare of Brimfield Acute Post Care Facility. On October 13, 1935 she was born to the late Homer and Beulah (Wright) Harris in South Nettle, West Virginia. Mrs. Sexton has lived in Streetsboro since 1970 and was formerly of Shalersville, she was a member of the 58th Street Church of God in Cleveland and was a very active former member of the Encounter Church (Streetsboro Church of God). She was a retired human resource manager from the Ohio Circuits Company in Twinsburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Sexton on August 10, 2013 and her granddaughter Kathryn Sexton. Survivors include her children Shannon (Ronald) Estes, Jr. of Streetsboro, Terry (Cindy) Sexton of Mantua, Dale (Melissa) Sexton of Michigan, Dana (Tammy) Sexton of New Hampshire, Trevor (Susan) Sexton of Michigan, her 11 grandchildren, her 14 great grandchildren, her siblings Myrna Maxwell of Texas, Barbara (Fred) Cawthorne of Oklahoma, Velda Burkhouse of West Virginia and Jimmy (Nancy) Harris) of New Jersey. Calling hours will be from 6-8 PM Thursday June 18, 2020 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro with private family services being held and entombment to follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
