Raphael Arthur Hearrell

Raphael Arthur Hearrell, 93 of Alliance formerly of Ravenna, passed away at his home Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was born on September 24, 1927, in Stow to the late Morris and Vera (Doyle) Hearrell. Raphael had worked in construction his entire life for various companies. He was a proud service member of the United States Army serving in WW II and attended Shepherds Hill Church of the Nazarene. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed taking trips to Canada with his brothers and sons. Known to many as Racy, you would often find him sitting in his favorite chair gazing outside or out on his bench swing soaking in the views of his backyard; that was the simple life that he lived. In addition to his parents, Raphael is preceded in death by his son Larry Hearrell and was the last of his thirteen siblings. He is survived by his wife Wilma W. (Wymer) Hearrell whom he married on March 27, 1953, his sons Jeff (Paula) Hearrell and Tim (Robin) Hearrell, grandchildren Jason (Misty) Young, Amy (Jerry) Gulu, Kalie (Robert) Johnson, Tony (Kelsey) Hearrell, Casey (Chris) Dial and Korie Hearrell, and great-grandchildren Izabella, Madelyn, Danika, Ayden, Allison, Britlee, Cashton, Fenley, Gabe, and Kali. The family would also like to thank Samantha Kaiser, who became part of the family while caring for him during his final days. Callings hours will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:30 PM with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
