Regina Coia Obituary

Regina M. Coia, 78 of Randolph passed away Tuesday March 30, 2021.  Born in Edinburg, she lived in Ravenna most of her life. With her husband Joe, they established their family business Coia Implement which they owned for 40 years.  She was married to her high school sweetheart Joe for 58 years  who preceded her in death exactly one year ago to the date March 30, 2020. Together they had two sons Vince (Suzanne) Coia and Bryan (Sharon) Coia.  Regina was especially proud of her two grandsons Tyler and Brandon.  In addition to her sons, she is survived by her sister Rhonda McFrederick, Aunt Vivian Tedrick, brother in law Ed (Carol) Coia,  nieces Renee Genet, Debbie (Jim) Moore, Melissa Coia, Lisa McFrederick, nephews Jimmy (Aimee) Coia, Keth (Jessica) McFrederick and Joe's special cousin Carm (Paul) Shipp.  She is preceded in death by her parents  Agnes Larrick, Paul Stillion, her sister Janice Fritz and her uncles Boyd Hall and Bob Tederick.  She was an avid Browns and Cavaliers fan and was a dedicated member of the Kent United Methodist Church.  Regina was a dedicated hard-working business woman who loved her family very much.  Calling hours will be Friday April 9, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel and on Saturday April 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Kent United Methodist Church. The services at the church will be a combined service for both Joe and Regina because of Joe's passing during the beginning of the pandemic. (Face masks and social distancing are recommended and encouraged).  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery Randolph next to her husband Joe.  Following the burial, there will be a celebration of life for both Joe and Regina at the Kent Elks.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Portage County APL.  They are especially thankful to Terry Montz and the staff of Country Elegance for the care of their mother.  Condolences and memories of Regina may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
