Richard J Agema

Richard J. Agema, 71 of Randolph, passed away Tuesday June 8, 2021 at Akron City Hospital following an auto accident.  He was born on September 4, 1949 in Warren, Ohio to Dick and Emmy (Kurz) Agema.  Richard has lived in Randolph most of his life, was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and had retired from Johnson Controls in Cleveland where he worked as an Application Engineer.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and also was a talented woodworker who enjoyed making things for around the house.  Survivors include his wife Carolyn L. (Jagietta) Agema whom he married March 23, 1969, his daughter Jenifer (James) Arbogast, his mother Emmy Artim, his grandchildren Debrah (Derrick) Brown, Brian (Savannah) Arbogast and his siblings Sonja Ulbrich, Linda Vanderpool, Donald Agema, Christine Bramer, Susan Jenior, Edwin Agema and Allen Agema.  He was preceded in death by his father Dick Agema.  Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM until time of funeral services at 11:00 on Monday June 14, 2021 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Burial with military honors by the US Air Force will follow in Hillside Cemetery Randolph, Ohio.  Condolences and memorials may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
