Robert Glenn Miller, Jr.

Robert Glenn Miller, Jr. was born June 30, 1973 to Robert Miller, Sr. and Sharon Lorina (Lindsay) Miller in Ravenna, Ohio. Bobby was their first born. He graduated from Ravenna High School and remained a lifelong resident of Ravenna. Bobby always had a deep belief in God and confessed "that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord you will be saved" at his baptism. In his final hours he stated that he was going home to be with God.

Growing up, Bobby was always trying to get his sassy sister, Susan to clean her bedroom and help him with household chores. Susie watched television while Bobby cleaned around her. Bobby would often walk around the house with a bottle of Windex and a cleaning cloth and yes, he cleaned Susie's bedroom. They were best friends, were excellent students, and he was great at being a caring big brother.

Bobby worked for the City of Ravenna until having a heart attack mandated "light duty" work. He had various jobs, but working at Guido's Restaurant was the best environment for him. Bobby loved people (and good Italian food). Bobby enjoyed interacting with customers and employees and was happy doing his part.

Bobby loved attending sporting events, loved watching sports - especially football, basketball, and baseball. His wardrobe consisted of Cleveland Cavalier, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Lakers apparel - but the Pittsburgh Steelers was his favorite team. Bobby also loved trucks, hanging out with his friends, and his dog Ace!

Preceding Bobby in death are his parents and sister. Bobby leaves to mourn his loving aunts, Sandra Blanchard of Chicago, Margaret York of Pennsylvania, and Shirley Gwin of Mantua: many dear cousins, and many loving, caring friends.

Calling hours will be from 2 PM until time of funeral service at 4 PM Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A graveside committal service will be held at 10 AM Monday, February 6, 2023 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. Condolences and memories of Bobby may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
