Robert William Moser

Robert(Bob) William Moser, a life long resident of Rootstown passed away on Saturday June 27, 2020.  He was born in Ravenna Ohio on February 27, 1935 to William and Pearl (Booth) Moser. Bob married Dolores (Gossett) on February 21, 1954 and was happily married 66 years. Bob graduated from Ravenna Township in 1953 where he excelled in Football, Basketball, Baseball and Field and Track. Bob worked for P.L. Frank Construction before forming Moser&Sisley Construction along with his partner Walter Sisley where they built many commercial buildings in and around Portage County. Bob was past president of the Rootstown Lions Club, coached little league baseball and was active with cub scouts. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed collecting Duck Decoys and was a past member of Ducks Unlimited. Bob enjoyed traveling and camping but most of all loved being with his family. In his later years he especially loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Dolores and two children Terry and Melody Moser. Grandchildren Shannon, Joshua, Christina and Nikos. Great grandchildren Georgie and Frankie. Brother Lee Moser. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. Cremation has taken place at his request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel. Memorial visitation will take place on July 11, 2020 from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 pm at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
