Roberta "Bobbi" J. Smith

Roberta (Bobbi) J. Smith age 79 of Kent, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 Surrounded by her five daughters and grandchildren. She was born October 1, 1943 in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Life wasn’t always easy for Bobbi.  Beginning at a very young age, she faced many difficult challenges. Bobbi powered through life’s challenges with a friendly smile and a goofy song, making memories with her loved ones that they will forever cherish. A long battle with Alzheimer’s finally erased the hurt, heartache and sadness she tried to forget but, as it does, Alzheimer’s also robbed Bobbi of the many wonderful memories she shared with her daughters, beloved grandchildren, sisters and friends. Alzheimer’s may have been the final battle for Bobbi but she was surrounded by those that loved her, sharing stories, memories and goofy songs as she departed this world.  Love wins!

Survivors include her children Vickie Epling, Diane Templeton, Toni (Don) Pigott, Katie (Jeremy) Hansen and Nicole (Scott) Brady, 6 grandchildren whom she loved dearly,  Candace, Ally, Serena, David, Kourtney and Joshua and also 3 great grandchildren, Brady, Landon and Dempsey and several siblings. There will be no services at this time. The family will Celebrate her life and release her ashes at a later date for immediate family members, honoring Bobbi's wishes. We love you to the Moon!
