Ronnie William Jones

Ronnie William Jones, Sr. 72 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday December 28, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.  He was born June 17, 1944 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late James and Erma (Brunner) Jones.  Mr. Jones has spent most of his life in Randolph and had worked a  truck driver.  He was a member of the Paladin Knights, attended the Kent American Legion, enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle, but his favorite thing to do was watch all his grandkids at their  numerous sporting events.  He was a veteran of the US Navy.  Survivors include his wife Sharon (Bancroft) Jones whom he married in 1988, his children Suzanne Boyd of Kirtland, Ronnie W. (Shannon Gromack) Jones, Jr. of Aurora, his step daughters Stephanie (James) Caicco of Ravenna, Christine (David) Wagner of Ravenna, Tracie (James) Osborne of Tennessee, his grandchildren  Alyssa, Aeron, Ronnie James, Jacob, Pierce, Macguire, Kennedy, Hayle', Chandler, Preston, David, Emily, Samantha and Addison, his great grandchildren Kaden, Athen, Devon and Samira.  He is also survived by his siblings Lynn Jones of Walnut Creek, Thomas Jones of Millersburg, David Jones of Mogadore and his first wife and  friend Anne Jones of Hudson.  Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Friday  December 30, 2016 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Cremation will follow the calling hours and burial will  be held at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Ronnie may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
