Rose M (Theakston) McCoy

Rose M. McCoy, 86, of Ravenna, passed away Tuesday March 26, 2024 at Vista Veranda in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born April 28, 1937 in Scenery Hill, PA. to the late Norman B. and Mildred P. (Fulton) Theakston.  Living in Ravenna most of her life, Rose had worked in child care at the Story Book Nursery in Ravenna, Ohio.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. McCoy, Sr. on June 23, 2016 who she enjoyed traveling and camping with along with their many friends and family, her son Donald E. McCoy, Jr.  her grandson Greggie Neff, her son in laws Gregory Neff, Donald Stoffer, Jim Gaurrich and siblings Raymond Theakston, Lillian Orum, Mary Lynn, Joanne Adametz and Betty Engel. Survivors include her daughters Deborah R. (Ron Murphy) Neff, Denise M. (Jeff White) McCoy, her grandchildren Jessica (Mike) Allen, Jesse (Jamie) McCoy, Tiffany (Brian) Mozer, Shaun (Michelle) McCoy, Ryan McCoy, her great grandchildren Shaunie, Gregory, Brandon, Zachary, Olivia, Natalie, Elizabeth, Donald, Tyler, Charlie Rose, her sister Judy Coyle and in laws Marilyn McCoy, Sandy McCoy and Kemp Lynn.  Calling hours will be 6 to 8 PM Monday April 1, 2024 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel and 4 to 8 Pm Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Skirpan Funeral Home in Brownsville, PA where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 3, 2024.  Burial will follow in Redstone Cemetery Brownsville, PA.  Condolences and memories of Rose may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com or www.skirpanfuneralhomes.com.
