Ruby M (Kidd) Solitro

Ruby Mae Solitro of Ravenna, Ohio passed away at her home on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of eighty-nine.  Her final moments were spent with her family at her side.  She was born in Ravenna to the late Herbert and Jamime (LeMasters) Kidd.  Mrs. Solitro has been a lifelong Portage County resident and retired in 1998 from the Windham School District where she served as an assistant treasurer.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Garrettsville and loved her rose garden, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.  Ruby was preceded in death by her four sisters, one brother, and her husband, Jack, who passed on May 27 of last year.   She leaves her children: Suzanne (Doug) Paroff,  Anthony (Rose) Solitro, Joseph (Julie) Solitro, and six grandchildren to cherish her memory.  Calling hours will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday November 8, 2018 at St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville, Ohio.  (Everyone PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH ON THURSDAY)  Her final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum in Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Ruby may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com
