Sharon K (Rhodes) Redfern

Sharon K. Redfern, 73 of Windham, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the UH Portage Medical Center. She was born January 11, 1948 to the late Reverend S.D. and Dolores (Joy) Rhodes Puckett in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Sharon had worked as a CEO and Executive Director of Ravenna Visiting Nurses until retirement. She was a RN specializing in geriatrics and was a graduate of Akron General School of Nursing in 1969. Sharon enjoyed historical re-enactments, reading and crocheting, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren, Tim and Hannah, and her husband of 51 years Garry. She was considered everyone's mom and grammie when she would sit on the 50 yard line at all of Tim's football games to cheer on him and his friends. Sharon also watched and cheered for Hannah in volleyball, basketball and track. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother Michael Rhodes and brother-in-law Ronald Morris. She is survived by her husband, her daughter Lisa (John) Murton, sister Sharlene Morris, her grandchildren, nieces and nephews Kim (Todd) Garland, Tina (Michael) Whitemore, Mark (Kim) Morris, many great nieces and nephews and loving cousins and her pet turtle, Toonie.
