Susan L Gilbert

Susan L. Gilbert, 63 of Ravenna, passed away Friday October 13, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  Being a lifelong Ravenna resident, Susan was born in Ravenna on January 6, 1960 to the late Jack R. Gilbert and Nancy E. (Stout) Darlington.  She had worked at various Huntington Banks as teller.  Susan wanted to thank her Uncle Jim Gilbert, Tracy Giulitto and Nancy Szanto for always taking her to her doctors appointments, banking and all other errands at a moments notice.  She also wanted to thank the 3rd Floor nurses at UH in Ravenna who took wonderful care of her and how much it means to patients when you show kindness and compassion.  Her mother Nancy just recently passed August 26, 2023.  Survivors includer her brother Gary Gilbert, her nephew Daniel Shingleton, her step mother Sandy McIntrye, step siblings Penny Baily and Angie McIntyre, and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.  In honoring her request, cremation has taken place and graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday November 10, 2023 at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Susan had a love for cats, so in lieu of flowers, she would greatly appreciate any donations to be made to the Portage County APL.  Condolences and memories of Susan may be shared at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
