Thomas J Hatfield

Thomas J. Hatfield, 93 of Streetsboro passed away Friday November 25, 2022 at the UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.  On November 8, 1929, Thomas was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia to the late Lycurgus and Susie (Gilliam) Hatfield.  Living in Streetsboro most of his life,  He was an active member of the Streetsboro church of Christ where he served as an elder.  He was also very involved with the food pantry. He jumped at any opportunity to help people.  Tom loved to laugh, it made his day to share that laughter and joking with others.  He retired in 1991 as a railroad engineer from Republic Steel in Cleveland.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son David Hatfield and several brothers and sisters.  Survivors include his wife of 70 years Yvonne (Adkins) Hatfield whom he married February 27, 1952, his children Deborah (Jerry) Crow,  Pamela (Brent) Harris, Barry (Dusta) Hatfield, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two sisters.  Calling hours will be Wednesday November 30, 2022 from 12 Noon PM until time of the 1:00 PM Funeral services at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel with Rev. Ralph Price officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Streetsboro church of Christ.  1386 Russell Dr, Streetsboro, OH 44241.
