Thomas Leedom Obituary

Thomas L. Leedom, 77, of Mantua peacefully returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 23, 2020, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Tom was born in Warren, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Virginia Leedom, and beloved in-laws, Harry and Bernice Sweet.  He attended James A. Garfield Schools. He was a member of the Windham American Legion Post #674.  Proud of being a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, he was stationed in Japan, Thailand and Laos during the Vietnam Era. His home base was Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In 2003, after 36 years of dedicated service, Tom retired from Cleveland Pneumatic/BF Goodrich Aerospace. He attended Friendship Alliance Church in Auburn Township. Tom enjoyed and always strived to achieve a beautiful yard and home.  He admired and cherished the many dogs he had throughout the years, especially his little sheltie, Tanner. His life was characterized by his immense capacity to love unconditionally, his innate ability to give without expectation, his loyal devotion to family and friends, and faithful adoration of his best friend, and love of his life. Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie (Kraft); children, Tina (Dennis) Ulrich and Matthew Leedom; grandchildren, Tanya (Kevin) Pantalone, Tabitha (Jason) Converse, Dexter (Jenna) Dorris, Dustin Dorris, and Greg (Kristen) Kelley, as well as 8 great-grandchildren. A private service is planned for family and close friends.  His place of burial will be at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mantua-Shalersville Fire Department; 10303 St. Rt. 44, Mantua, OH 44255, or the Friendship Alliance Church; P.O. Box 23037, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home in Ravenna  Chapel. His family would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers, love and support.
