Victor Oros Obituary

Victor John Oros, age 81, went to join his Lord and savior after passing away peacefully with his family by his side on April 28,2021 in Peoria, AZ.  

Victor is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra Oros (Otcasek) of Peoria, AZ along with sons John Oros (April Blair) of Middlefield, OH and James Oros of Peoria, AZ.  He also leaves behind loving grandsons Sam and Jesse.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Elizabeth Oros.  Brothers James Oros Jr, and Frank Oros along with his sister Leona Houser. 

Victor was born on November 6, 1939 in Ravenna, OH and grew up working on the family farm in Garrettsville.  He graduated from James A. Garfield High School in 1957.  He then joined the Army and served his country till 1964.  After his military service, he resided in Northeast Ohio working as a truck driver for over 40 years which he thoroughly enjoyed as he was able to interact with numerous people. Vic then retired to Arizona in 2004 where he was able to continue to work part time as a truck driver before retiring full time. 

Victor enjoyed walking his dog Blondie while visiting with friends and neighbors.  Vic also enjoyed gardening and nurturing flowers throughout his life.  Victor stayed true to his Ohio roots and was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes. 

A private funeral for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday May 8th at Ravenna Assembly of God 6401 OH-14, Ravenna, OH 44266.  Reverend Gary Beck will officiate before a burial service at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville, OH where Vic will once again be neighbors with Emery and Betty Marks.  A fellowship dinner will follow at the church after the cemetery service. 

A celebration of life will be forthcoming for his friends in Arizona at a later date.
