Violet J. (Janney) Angle

Violet J. Angle 84 of Shalersville passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025. She was born December 15, 1940 in Mohegan, WV to Pearley and Virginia (Coe) Janney. Violet was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Aurora, serving as the pastor’s wife for 33 years alongside her husband and pastor Jesse C. Angle, until his passing. She served as the secretary of the church until her death. Violet was a Production Manager for Keithley Instruments in Solon for several years, and before that in a supervisory role at Warner & Swasey Company. Violet enjoyed her church life and community, singing with The Star of Bethlehem Trio and with her husband and daughters.

Survivors include her daughters V. Diane (Clifton) Lanham and Lori (Bruce) Fisher, grandchildren Joe (Joy) Lanham, Nichole (Rick) McCoy, and Bryan (Megan) Fisher, and great grandchildren, Parker McCoy, Riley McCoy, and Callen Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pastor Jesse Angle, sister Betty Bullock and brother Allen Janney.

Calling hours will be from 3 PM until time of funeral service at 6 PM Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Star of Bethlehem Church.
