Walter J. "Bud" Graham, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 15, 1926 in Delphos, Ohio, to the late Walter J. Graham and Helen Dunifon. living in Raenna at his home previously. He has resided with his daughter, under her lovong care, for 8 years in Rootstown and Garretsville. He previously, worked at Pesco, as a Tool and Die maker, and later at Samuel Moore unti retirement. He was a very hard worker, loving husband and devoted father. He loved the outdoors, including taking long walks, manicuring his yard, and fishing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts. He was a survivor of the U.S. Liberty ship attack and endured being stranded at sea for 20 days. He loved his four legged companions, Chloe, Bo, and Annie who lived with him and his daughter. His family was very important to him and loved making them laugh and smile. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte in 1984, and two brothers. Survivors include his children Roger (Kathy) Graham, and Cheryl Burke ( Bobby Yantko), his grandchildren Shon (Heather) Graham, Melanie (Chris) Novotny, Heather (Jameson) Maag, Chase (Antasha Durbin) Simons, and Evan Graham, his great grandchildren Triston, Chesney Rosalie, C.J., Hadlee, Graham, Elijah, Brooklyn, and one sister. Special thanks to Sabrina and Jacqeline from Hospice of the Western Reserve. Calling hours will be from 2-4pm on Sunday December 29, 2019 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. At 4PM military services will be held and funeral services immediately following with Rev. William Snyder officiating. Honoring Bud's wishes, crematin will follow services.
