William John Lishing, 91, of Streetsboro passed away from Parkinson's Disease Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 19, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank and Helen (Stefan) Lishing. Bill was a Union Finish Carpenter for 32 yrs and then was the Maintenance Supervisor for Hattie Larlham of Mantua 10 yrs. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. Bill was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro and St. Patrick Church in Kent, as well as a 3rd Degree member of the Knights Of Columbus Council 4571. Survivors include his wife of 68 years Mary (Miller), children Frank (Joann) Lishing, Grace (Robert) Vitangeli, Nancy (David) Beiler and Martin (Jackie) Lishing, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Helen Martukovich and many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Caleb Lishing. Calling hours will be from 10:30 AM until time of funeral Mass at 11 AM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Joan of Arc Church, 8894 State Route 14 in Streetsboro. Father Richard Pentello will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Western Reserve Hospice, 17876 St Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. The family kindly recommends face masks.
