Yvonne Lois West 79 of Ravenna died Tuesday, September 20, 2011. She was born September 5, 1932 in Ravenna to John H. and Edythe (Schweitzer) Jones. Mrs. West was a member of the Kent Presbyterian Church, a lifelong Ravenna resident, worked as a medical assistant for Akron General Medical Center and as a secretary for Allen Aircraft. Survivors include her husband of 48 years Gordon West, daughter Kathleen (Dennis) Rockhold of Atwater, son Richard Reish, Jr. of Tallmadge, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty E. Rae. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend Wally Kukuk officiating. Friends will be received from 10 AM to time of services on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Portage County APL, PO Box 927, Ravenna, OH 44266.
