I will miss Dale so much.  He was such a good friend.  I met him when I was just 19 and he was 5 years older when I was a receptionist at WLTH and he was hired as a DJ.  Over the years, I worked for him when he was General Manager at WLTH and he worked for me in the 80's when I was VP/GM at WLTH.  He became such a close friend, even after my marriage and thru to his last day on earth.  I had just e-mailed him a few weeks before telling him how important he was to me and how much he meant to me.  He was my friend, my mentor, my psychologist, but mostly the finest man I had ever met.  I am now 67 and over the 45 plus years we knew each other, we knew we had someone to turn to in times of trouble or joy. I will miss knowing that.  But what am I saying, he is still watching over me...that I know for sure.  My heart aches.

I came here now in 2021 after searching for Dale's name. I was going through old papers and found a letter Dale had sent to me in 1974 from WLTH when I was in a job search and had written to the station. He wrote back the sweetest, kindest, most heartfelt letter and I had saved it because it was tremendously encouraging and thoughtful. Who ever writes like that any more? I'm sorry I never knew him better, he must have been a wonderful guy.

We will so miss you, Dale.  We have the best memories of you in Miller!  My Aunt Rosalie adored you and I know you adored her.  It's unbelievable that I just spoke to you a few days ago.  You were a kind, generous and oh so eloquent!  We loved getting your letters and emails.  We know you are up in heaven right now....whooping it up with our Rosalie!  You two have fun!  We will think of you often and count our blessings that we had the honor of knowing you.

With love,
The Roth Family

Dale was a gentle and kind soul.  After about 20 years, we recently had the opportunity to meet for lunch in Northern Ohio.  I wish him great peace and rest.  I will miss Dale.  Darryl Parks

Dale was a lovely, lovely soul. Good manager, better friend. I have a message he sent me weeks ago, and it soothes me even now. Our loss is Heaven's gain! Hope to see you again, my friend.

I am sad to hear of my uncles passing. I have fond memories of him from my childhood. I remember him and his dog Spooky and it brings a smile to my face. Although my work schedule will keep me from his calling hours, he will be in my thoughts.

Very sorry for our loss of Dale. He will forever be in my heart as a friend thru thick and thin.  We were friends since the 70's....and he and his friend, Aunt Rosalee from Miller, Indiana were mutual friends as was my late husband, Wayne Kleinman. He has been computer/letter buddies for years...we never were out of touch...Blessings to the family...Karen Kleinman

I had the pleasure of working with Dale at WAKE in Valparaiso, IN in the 70's.  We have remained in touch since then.  Dale was a kind, gentle and fun-loving person and my sincere condolences go to family and friends.
RIP my friend.
